Past Enhancements

Below are some of the Enhancements that you may have missed out on.

2023 Enhancements

Check Listing - Consolidated Report

New Check Listing report! This new report will sum the total of the check amount. The report will show check number, Transaction date, Source Type (ex: Vendor Name) and Amount. To print go to Transaction, Check Listing click the drop down and select Report Type = Consolidated and then select your Check Type.

Additional Server Backups

One of our most requested enhancements this past year is the ability to store additional backups. Good News, you can now store 15 backups to the Roughneck Server!

Email AR Invoice

We added the option to email Accounts Receivable invoices to your customers. Go to Accounts Receivable, and Reports then Invoices. Then enter in your report filter and select the Email button. The invoice will display on screen, once you close the invoice you will be asked if you would like to email the invoice. Make sure you have the email addresses setup in the Owner file. You will also need to set up your email settings under File, Setup Options then Email Setup if you have not already done so before.

Scan Vendor: Document Name

Scan documents are now saved as “SCAN 01 1000 B1234.PDF”

01 = Company number

10000 = Vendor number

B1234 = Invoice number

This new format will give you the ability to locate your file easier.

AP Quick checks

You now have the option to add invoices for 1099 purposes for an Attorney. When adding an AP Quick Check select the Invoice type A (for Attorney), this will add an A to the end of the Invoice number. This payment will be picked up on your Vendor 1099 reports in the attorney proceeds box.

Password

We have expanded all the password fields from 10 to 15 characters.

AP Quick checks

When adding an Accounts Payable Quick Check you will now have the option to add a new Vendor. Click on the + next to the Vendor and it will pull up the Vendor file and you will have the ability to add your new Vendor here.

GL Detail Report

On the General Ledger Detail report filter we have added the option to view and print the report with a beginning and ending unit number.

Deleting a Company

Deleting a Company from the Company Heading file just got a lot easier. When you delete a company you will now have the option to delete the Owner, Well, DOI, Unit Chart of Accounts and Employee file for this company.

Check Listing - Payroll (DD Only)

The Payroll direct deposit check listing will now print in Employee number order. This report makes comparing your payroll register against your check listing easier and quicker.

2022 Enhancements

1099/W2 Form Count

We added this great feature so you can get an idea of how many forms you will need to mail or e-file. If you need to purchase forms you can run a quick sound so you know how many forms to order. Select EOY, 1099-MISC forms/e-file or 1099-NEC forms/e-file. From the filter drop down the ‘select Report Type’ to ‘Count Forms’, fill in the rest of the filter, and click OK. You will receive a pop-up message with your count.

Saved Reports

You can now search your saved Reports by file type (PDF, HTM, XLS, or All), beginning and ending file date, and by file name. 

AR Payment- Reference number 

You now have the option to select your payment method of Check, Credit Card, or EFT under the A/R manual payment. Once you select your payment method you can enter the reference number. If you select check your description for the payment will start with a CK. If you select Credit Card you will see a CC and EFT will be for EFT. The description will help you identify what type of payment it was on reports such as Transaction Listing and Trial Balance.

AP Recurrent Invoice 

Added an Invoice Type “O” and “A” when entering a recurrent invoice. This will keep your 1099s correct.

Employee File Filter 

We added an “Active” button under the Pay Type on the Employee filter page. When printing/viewing an employee report check the ‘exclude Inactive Employee’ on your report filter. You can now search for only active employees. 

Sell Owner’s Interest 

We added the option to ‘Save the Sell Interest Report’ when selling the owner’s interest. If you choose ‘Save the Sell Interest Report’, it will immediately prompt you to save the report to PDF or Excel. The saved report can then be saved or printed under Tools- Print Saved Reports.

2021 Enhancements 

Operating Statements 

You can now print/view your Operating Statements in larger groups. To increase or decrease fo to File- Setup Options- Operating Statement Setup select the Other category. You can adjust your quantity under “Pages per File in Operating Statements”. You can choose a number between 1 and 1000. 

Transaction Filter 

You can now search the Transaction file by description. Adding this new feature will help to search for anything from payment descriptions to adjustments. 

AP- Delete previously prepared checks

Added a “Delete All” button. This will remove all vendor checks that were previously prepared in the filter.

Vendor Adjustments Report (New Report)

This report will be a new option on the Vendor 1099 Transaction Listing file. The report will pull only payments that you have made adjustments to through the Vendor file. 

Vendor file- Secondary address

We moved the Primary address and added a secondary address to Page 2. You have the option to select to print your Vendor check and/or use it for 1099 with your secondary address. 

Vendor file- Foreign address

We added a foreign address option for your primary and secondary address

Operating statements- PDF/XPS format 

Added a “how-to” in the Print Past Operating Statements. You have the option to print an operating statement in .PDF and/or XPS format. Once it is saved you can email the attached statement to a customer. 

Edit Owner/Vendor e-filling screen 

If you need to make a change to an owner/vendor click on their information and you can make any edit within the screen.
